Returns Policy & Warranty

ErgoChairs operates as an online store. Whilst this enables us to minimise our overheads and therefore keep our chair prices down, we understand that many people prefer to test a chair before purchasing it. To address this and to ease your mind, we have implemented two safeguards to give you complete confidence in your purchase.


Firstly, our resident ergonomist and occupational physiotherapist has put together a table which guides you through the process of choosing the perfect ergonomic chair from our range, taking into account factors such as your height, weight and usage patterns. You can view this here. 


Secondly, we also offer an exclusive returns policy. That's how confident we are in the effectiveness of the table mentioned above, and in the quality of our ergonomic chairs. If you purchase a chair following the table mentioned above, and you're not comfortable, you can return it to us for a refund. There are some terms and conditions, which are listed below.

RETURNS POLICY

  1. The returns policy covers and includes the following chair models: Carlton, Melbourne, City, Richmond, Northcote, Hawthorn, Cremorne, Brunswick, Fairfield, Caulfield, Docklands, Preston.
  2. If a chair model is not listed in condition 1 directly above, it is not covered by the return policy and cannot be returned for change of mind. 
  3. You must inform us by email of your intention to return your chair within 5 days of your chair being delivered to your nominated address, including the day of delivery.
  4. You must return your chair to us within 7 days from the date your chair is delivered to your nominated address, excluding the day of delivery.
  5. You must return your chair to our nominated warehouse address in Port Melbourne between 9.00am and 5.00pm on a Friday or Saturday. We will confirm this address once you have informed us of your intention to return your chair. 
  6. You must return the chair fully assembled.
  7. You must return the chair in perfect condition. If there are any marks or defects visible on the chair, or if the functionality of the chair has been tampered with, it will not be accepted. 
  8. You must have followed the chair comparison table found here when choosing your chair. We will confirm this when you return your chair. 
  9. Returns are limited to one chair per person. This includes one chair per person; per address; per email address; or per phone number.
  10. Upon successfully returning your chair you will be refunded the purchase price, minus any transaction fees and a $30 + gst restocking fee. Refunds are processed within 3 business days of your chair being returned. 
  11. This returns policy is the entire returns policy. We do not accept returns for reasons other than covered by this returns policy, other than faulty products. 

WARRANTY

All of our chairs are covered by a comprehensive warranty. The length of the warranty is listed on the product page for each individual chair. If your chair develops a fault within the warranty period, please contact us at info@ergochairs.com.au to inform us of the problem. 

The warranty covers structural defects and does not cover wear and tear. 

If we require your chair to be returned to us to repair a structural default, you will be required to deliver the chair to our warehouse so that we can repair it. You will also be responsible for collecting your repaired chair. 

If a chair is repaired within the warranty period, the warranty does not start fresh from the time of repair. The warranty is a set period from the time the chair is originally purchased.
